As Superbowl 50 approached and the Panthers prepared to meet the Broncos, we were reminded once again that the benefits of team building are far-reaching.

Sitting in the stadium along with thousands of other excited fans were 14 kids whose dreams came true.  Thanks to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, they got to attend what’s arguably the most thrilling sporting event in the country, The Superbowl.

If you aren’t quite sure what the Make-a-Wish Foundation is all about, here’s a quick primer: they help sick kids by making their dreams come true…quite literally!

Each year, thousands of kids who have life-threatening medical conditions feel the impact of the Make-a-Wish Foundation.  All kids have dreams, but Make-A-Wish takes it upon themselves to see to it that these special kids actually see some of their dreams come true.

The philosophy is that these exceptional experiences, such as attending the Superbowl, can be game-changing events in the lives of these kids.  Making life better is their way of supporting these kids and their families so they can be on the road to recovery.

From the long list of reasons team building is a good idea, one of the most important for Magnovo is helping out the Make-a-Wish foundation.

Last year we were happy to become a proud sponsor of the foundation, which helps kids’ dreams come true across the entire country.  Since our workshops are also offered everywhere, we saw a chance to make a difference in all the cities where we operate, not just Indianapolis.

The local chapter of Make-A-Wish, which covers the states of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, partners each year with WZPL.  WZPL is our community radio station here near Magnovo headquarters in Indianapolis.  Each year their “Request-A-Thon” fundraising event raises money for Make-A-Wish.

This year, our very own president Rob Jackson was on hand during the 36-hour event to lend a hand.  Here in the offices at Magnovo we were so proud to participate!  Rob presented a check and was invited to speak live on the air about our company and the benefits of team building, which include making partnerships with charities like the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
