Philanthropic Team Building

Food Pantry Team Building

Your team builds a fun, challenging mini golf course out of canned and pantry goods, then donates every item to a food bank, shelter, or charity of your choice. It's collaboration you can taste the impact of, and the course they build together feeds families in your community.

Let's Build Your Experience ➡

Our High Performance "Drivers"

Some teams just don't seem to like working together. This interactive food pantry team building workshop helps teams develop real cohesiveness as they learn to overcome challenges side by side. They work together through a series of activities designed to demonstrate exactly why a strong, aligned team matters.

Your team will see the importance of working together as they build a fun and challenging mini golf course using food and pantry items, all of which are then donated to a food bank, a women and children's shelter, Ronald McDonald House Charities, or a charity of your choice.

What Is the Puttin' Pantry™ Food Pantry Team Building Workshop?

Puttin' Pantry™ is a hands-on, charity food pantry team building workshop where teams collaborate to design and build a creative indoor or outdoor mini golf course out of canned and pantry goods, play their way through it, then donate every item to a local charity. It works for groups of nearly any size, in your venue or ours, and it's fully customized around your meeting theme, your goals, and the cause you want to support.

The Experience

How the Puttin' Pantry™ Workshop Works

01

Take On Team Challenges

Teams work through facilitated activities designed to build communication, creativity, and collaboration, surfacing how a group performs when the pressure is on and the clock is running.

02

Build the Pantry Mini Golf Course

Using donated food and pantry items, teams design and construct creative mini golf holes and obstacles. The build rewards planning, coordination, and a little friendly imagination.

03

Play, Then Donate

Teams play their way through the finished course, then every pantry item is donated to a food bank, shelter, or charity of your choice, a tangible legacy of what the team built together.

Change the World by Doing Good

Many corporate initiatives assume people will shift their behavior the moment a directive is handed down. The lines on an org chart say cross-functional teams should collaborate, so surely they will. A mandate says managers should communicate clearly, so surely they do. Real change rarely works that way.

Human beings respond to calls to action that engage their hearts as well as their minds, the kind that make them feel part of something consequential. Puttin' Pantry™ creates exactly that feeling, and along the way your team gains practice in measuring success before moving on, assessing and adapting, recognizing that we are what we see in each other, and understanding how feedback from one activity improves the next.

Skills Your Team Builds Along the Way

Puttin' Pantry™ is customized to your goals, but the experience is designed to sharpen the capabilities that make teams perform, lived in real time through the challenges, the build, and the play:

  • Collaboration. Building a course together rewards teams that align fast and pull in the same direction.
  • Communication. Coordinating the design and the play rewards listening and clarity.
  • Creativity. Designing holes and obstacles gives every personality a way to contribute.
  • Assess and Adapt. Teams learn to measure success, then adjust before moving on.
  • Feedback Loops. Each activity informs the next, so the team gets sharper as it goes.
