Magnovo hosts yet another Los Angeles Bicycle Team Building event!
In keeping with their commitment to build a better world, one connection at a time, this global communications company decided to add a community service element to their holiday team building event. It’s a commitment like this that brought the leaders to a bicycle team building event for fun and to give back to the community. They chose this workshop because it reflects their goal of improving the lives of individuals and the communities they serve as the team works together to build bikes for charity.
Even though this is a team that works together pretty closely, the activities in the bicycle team building event were a perfect way to get them interacting and partnering to accomplish the goals. Each task cannot be solved without the groups working together, and they quickly learn that they must also go outside of their team as well. It creates a great metaphor for how they interact back at the office where it’s essential for team members to communicate clearly and share important information. By the end of the event the group saw first-hand how working together and bridging the gap with other teams is critical to the organization’s success.While the event lasted less than two hours, the teams came away with valuable lessons about teamwork and working together to give back to the community. Their persistence and hard work paid off when they presented brand new bikes to Laura’s House, the only state-approved comprehensive domestic violence agency in South Orange County. Laura’s House has helped over 2,000 women and children by providing residential shelter services, counseling and legal services.By the end of the bicycle team building event the participants were wiping away tears and expressing huge appreciation for being able to participate in this workshop. This gave them an opportunity to create a great impact locally and bring the corporate commitment to life.
